Organist - Bob Schaaf

After growing up in the small town of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico and living there my first 60 years, I owned and operated and Independent Insurance Agency for 38 years, during which I served 45 years as organist at First Baptist Church. For 24 years, I sang baritone with the New Mexico Singing Churchmen, a small men's chorus and served two 3-year terms on the Executive Board of the Baptist Convention of New Mexico. Following my first retirement, I moved to Edmond, Oklahoma for 12 years, served 8 years as organist at Edmond's First Baptist Church while singing baritone with the Singing Churchmen of Oklahoma, a 250 member men's chorus and doubly blessed to work for the Crawford Family Funeral Home in answer to God's call upon my life that I acknowledged in high school. Lastly, I moved here to East Troy in 2017 to be near my son and his family. Soon after arrival, I found a church home at the Community Church in Waterford and, again, had the opportunity to serve as organist at Spring Prairie UMC, Eagle UMC and occasionally as pianist at Troy Center UMC and keyboard for the Glory Singers for 5 years. I have found joy and fulfillment in serving some 64 years at the organ and being a part of the production of church. Riding motorcycles, and particularly my Harley, has been another of my fun vices.
