Regional Shared Ministry The Community Regional Shared Ministry will have East Troy; St. James, Waterford; Community and Sullivan; Servant Community Churches collaborate in ministry, and work together to develop healthy relationships between churches and their community.
The vision of St. James UMC is to make disciples of Jesus Christ, who transforms the lives of people in the East Troy Community and the surrounding regions through relationship, service and ministry. We believe Jesus meant it when he summarized the teachings of the law into three major themes: “…Love God, Love One Another, and Serve the World.”
DRIVE IN WORSHIP Please join us Sunday mornings in June as we worship from our cars in the church parking lot from 11:30-12:00 at 90.5 FM on your car radio. The service is also live-streamed on Facebook on the St. James UMC Regional Shared Ministry page. Pastor Bill Busch will be delivering his inspiring message. We are also offering in-house worship! Feel free to join us in the Fellowship Hall Sunday mornings at 11:30. Masks are required, and the drive-in and live-stream are still available for those who are unable to/not comfortable with returning to in-house worship at this point.
We would like to thank all the organizations in East Troy that have helped and supported our monthly Second Helpings meal. We hope to resume the meals as soon as possible. Thank you to: Gus's Drive-in, LD's BBQ, Ale Station, Genoa Pizza, State Farm, Troy Center UMC and St. Peter's Catholic Church. You have helped us make this meal a success!
Even though we cannot hold standard in person worship, St. James UMC is still reaching out into the community to do our part to stay connected, by helping with face masks (see below) and other activities in the Community. We would like to thank the community for helping us reach out during these uncertain times.
St. James UMC is working with Wisconsin Face Mask Warriors to make cotton face masks. We have placed two totes outside our front doors on our church ramp. One tote is to collect: 100% cotton material, elastic, gallon size plastic zip-lock bags and plastic covered wire. The other tote is for anyone to drop off finished masks for distribution. The totes will be out between 10 a.m and 4:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday. We would appreciate any donations.
